Our facilities

In April 2011 Southern Prospect relocated to a new purpose built facility adjacent to our previous location in Wynyard, Tasmania. This new facility provides dedicated fabrication, assembly and clean room spaces which will result in improved contamination control between processes. In addition, a new blasting and paint operation is a valuable asset to both our in-house requirements and to other manufacturers in the region.
A new design and administration office allows for an increased capability and best practice work environment consistent with our value on Relationship and Teamwork.

In keeping with our approach to environmental responsibility the new facility is capable of generating up to 20% of its energy requirement from small scale wind and solar installations on site. In doing so our SP Energy division is able to demonstrate this technology and provide valuable product data to prospective clients. A project to install a 225KW wind turbine in the region will provide a 100% energy offset for our operation as well as generating surplus supply.
